Chatty, bawdy, flawed and deeply honest, Boswell’s 18th-century journals of his grand journey through Scotland with Johnson take Joan back in time, showing her the power of authenticity and the need to make her own place in the world. We meet Ernestine Ashworth at 17, full of fire and flour, convinced she’s destined for greatness. She stirs through ages 17 to 107. We watch decades rise and fall like a perfectly timed confection. Through love, loss, motherhood, and cosmic musings, she keeps baking the same birthday cake, layering each year with memories, all while the oven’s on. Life moves fast, but tradition (and cake) are eternal. If this were a movie, we think it would be rated PG.

Two compelling stories come together in this heartwarming play inspired by the famous editorial Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. On Christmas Eve, 1897, in New York City, eight-year-old Virginia is left pondering whether or not Santa really exists after a series of unhappy events. Meanwhile, a young newspaper editor also struggles against tough holiday times as he is faced with losing his job if he can’t find his writer’s voice by morning. Even though they don’t know each other, the spirit of Christmas is about to bring these people together, creating in the process an unforgettable and cherished part of classic Christmas folklore.

In this lightning-quick farce, four women travel to Dot’s Northwoods cabin to consume copious amounts of wine, laugh at their lives, trade stories, and chat about their book club’s latest selection. However, after the third case of wine comes through the door, it becomes clear there will be more stewing than reviewing. As the bottles tip up, the secrets spill out and the men sneak in. The madcap, door-slamming chaos comes to a head when Dot wakes up and discovers her girls’ weekend is full of men!

Just after midnight, a snowdrift stops the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train is surprisingly full for the time of year, but by the morning it is one passenger fewer. An American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed eight times, his door locked from the inside. Isolated and with a killer in their midst, the passenger rely on detective Hercule Poirot to identify the murderer - in case he or she decides to strike again. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Doors open 30 minutes prior to showtime.

An extra-terrestrial "invasion" of the suburban, middle-class community of Susqua Creek Acres, Pennsylvania places its human residents and visitors under sudden house-bound quarantine. Secrets get revealed, conflicts erupt and recede, long festering wounds are dressed, and friendships and relationships terminated or reinstated. A Delightful Quarantine presents audiences with the interwoven stories of a mother reunited with the daughter she gave up for adoption thirty-two years earlier; a man with a secret that upends his marriage; a woman with fourteen cats, all invisible; a foiled house burglary that must wait three days for the police; a rekindled high school romance; two young couture-obsessed little girls "home alone" for the duration; and a brother who cannot honor his sick sister's greatest wish.

Orphan Oliver escapes a workhouse and embarks on an adventure to learn about family and friendship. With memorable songs like “Consider Yourself at Home” and “Food, Glorious Food” Oliver celebrates hope, resilience, and the power of love.

Lakeland Players in Elkhorn, WI is pleased to present the musical Into the Woods. The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. JUNE 25–28, 2026 | FONDY HIGH SCHOOL PAC Directed by Jane Flieller In this classic musical, gambler Nathan Detroit sets his sights on the biggest craps game of his career while Adelaide, his fiancee of 14 years, longs for a wedding. With a colorful cast gambling in luck and love from Times Square to Havana, this show features memorable songs “Luck Be a Lady,” “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat” and “Adelaide’s Lament.”

JULY 16–19, 2026 | FONDY HIGH SCHOOL PAC Directed by Siera Williams and Kenton Baker Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and a Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his character. This new adaptation will open up “a whole new world” for our Encore youth performers!
